off to the speedway......

what a week!!! first, on tuesday we went to charlotte and hung out with a great group of photographers!! then, on wednesday we went to bob davis and mike colon!!! and today i went to the speedway club to view a reception site for "soon to be" bride and groom, jen & todd!! their wedding is june 21 and will be walking down the aisle at exactley 5:21('cause the #21 has been lucky for them!) the pics below are of the awesome food we had at the clubs restaurant and the view we got to see while eating!!! to see some more pics of this awesome location and of jenn and todd, keep checking in to our blog and leave us some comments!!!

staci + bobby engagement

for starters, let me say that bobby is hands down the manliest man we have EVER met...(tippy asked me to say that...) we love you bobby!!!! :) tippy, melinda and i had the most fun with you guys! you are both so quirky and sweet, and hey, we love quirky and sweet! the weather was gorgeous....staci was gorgeous (as always)...and bobby, well we already told you how MANLY he was...all the ingredients to make a sensational day of photography. can't wait til april guys!!! *mwah* -t

mike colon and bob davis "master your craft workshop!!!"

wow...what an experience! these two fellas are just jam-packed full of energy, knowledge and the passion for what tippy and i love to do...storytelling. mike colon (pronounced "cologne") is from newport beach, ca. he has such a huge love of the art of wedding photography, and has an electric and magnetic personality. he's truly a down to earth fella and very intriguing to listen to. bob davis is from the big city of chicago, illinois. he has shot celebrity weddings and events that would leave you breathless. he is a master of external lighting and loves to share his craft with others. it was truly a priviledge to be in the same room with these two.

the seminar was so informative and inspiring. tippy and i now have a new outlook on how we will market ourselves, new techniques for using creative lighting during our weddings (can't wait to implement some of those bob!), and just a renewed sense of passion and creatively-simply brimming, waiting for our upcoming wedding season. and just as if it couldn't get any better, the networking was awesome. meeting and getting to know our peers in our local wedding photography industry was terrific. i really hope that we can all continue to share our knowledge and experience doing what we love to do, while at the same time helping each other share in this overwhelminly huge market. we are so blessed to have met you all. below is a montage from the awesome kenny kim, of kenny kim photography. he was documenting the day for mike & bob during their american city tour. what a blast!!! oh...i forgot to mention...i swear, i never win anything...and low and behold we won a 30gig ipod courtesy of apple!!! how crazy and lucky as all get out is that???!!! can't wait til the next time fellas, we'll definitely be there and hope to see you all at wppi!!!
